NoorQuran was born from a simple frustration: Muslim families deserved access to qualified, verified, trustworthy Quran education — and the existing options weren’t delivering. Local mosques had inconsistent teacher quality. Online platforms prioritised volume over verification. Parents had no way to know if their child’s teacher was truly qualified. Safeguarding was an afterthought. And the teachers themselves — the scholars who dedicated their lives to the Quran — were being paid as little as 30–40% of what families were charged.

Every scholar verified — no exceptions

Every scholar on NoorQuran has passed our 5-step verification process: ijazah authentication, live recitation assessment, teaching demonstration, background check, and ongoing performance review. We reject approximately 55% of applicants. We would rather have fewer scholars than lower our standards.

When you browse our scholars, you’re not seeing anyone who simply “applied.” You’re seeing educators whose credentials have been verified by our senior scholars, whose recitation has been assessed, and whose teaching has been demonstrated. This is our most fundamental promise.

70% of your fee goes directly to your scholar

Most platforms take 50–60%. We take 30%. Why? Because fairly-paid teachers are better teachers. They take on sustainable schedules instead of overworking. They stay on the platform instead of leaving for better pay. And they bring more energy, patience, and dedication to every lesson. Our 70/30 split isn’t generosity — it’s a quality strategy that directly benefits your child.

Every session recorded — every time

Every lesson on NoorQuran is recorded. You can watch any session, at any time. This serves two purposes: safeguarding (the recording is evidence and deterrent) and learning (your child can revisit the teacher’s model recitation during home practice). We believe recorded sessions should be the industry standard. Currently, we’re one of the few platforms that make this commitment.

Gender-matched by default

When you sign up, we match your child with a teacher of the appropriate gender unless you specify otherwise. Female scholars for girls. Male scholars for boys (or female for younger boys, based on your preference). This isn’t an add-on feature — it’s our default, because Shariah-aligned education should be the starting point, not an upgrade.

Safeguarding is our highest priority

Our safeguarding policy is published, detailed, and enforced. Our complaints procedure has defined response timelines. Parents can join any lesson without notice. No private communication channels between teacher and child. A designated safeguarding lead oversees all child protection matters. We welcome every parent to read these documents — and to hold us accountable.
